DAVEY LONG is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and studio musician. He has appeared on several albums including Celtic Woman’s GRAMMY-nominated Destiny, The Fundamentals’ Past and Present Collide, Edisons’ Little Bohemia, Pete Fagan's Many Suits, The Kilkennys’ The Colour of Freedom, Emma Langford’s Sowing Acorns, Pete Fagan's Many Suits and The Barnets’ forthcoming LP. Davey co-wrote On the Carousel for the popular folk band Drops of Green, which went on to win an ASLR Celtic Music Award. In 2001, Davey played with The Stephen Murphy Band as support act to Bob Dylan at the inaugural Smithwicks Source Festival. Davey toured worldwide as a member of The Kilkennys, including performances at Milwaukee Irish Fest, Zwarte Cross and Temple Bar Tradfest. From 2016 to 2024, Davey performed extensively around Ireland with After Dark. From 2025 he has gigged across Europe/USA with The Kilkennys.
Davey Long’s debut solo album Eitilt, was released in September 2021. The album was produced by Davey Long and mixed by Martin O'Neill, Martin Quinn and The Production Suite. The songs range in sound and influence from Americana to folk to rock. Eitilt features contributions by many fine Irish musicians including Sara Ryan, Dave Gough, Rob Larkin, Kealan Kenny, Shane O’Dwyer and others.
You Alone is the second album of original material by Davey Long. Scheduled for release in July 2025, the album was produced by Graham Murphy, Chris O'Brien & Davey Long. It was mixed by The Production Suite in Dublin.
