Snare Demo

This drum was built by my good friend Sean Smith. He’s a talented musician and a great drum builder. This is a stave snare drum. Made of very old jarrah timber from Western Australia. Sean sourced the timber from a Church in Africa where it had been used as roof beams. It’s extremely old and dense timber and proved difficult to work into shape. Sean did a wonderful job. Here it is, tuned pretty high, no muffling, minimal room eq. Talk to Sean for a snare drum of your own, handmade in Ireland. 🥁 Thanks to James Delahunty for his help with the video.
